Passing of ex-teacher
Many of our older Alumni will no doubt remember Br John George who went on to become Fr John George. Sadly he passed away last week aged just 73. He had been ill for some time suffering from bowel cancer (requiring a colostomy bag) as well as a severe stroke some 10 years ago.

More sad news I'm afraid. april 2017 saw the passing of Matthew Taylor from 2007. Matt had been ill for many years needing a lung transplant but unfortunately was not suitable for the procedure. Please keep Matt's family, including his wife Mallie in your prayers.

Very nice to see an ex-Dara girl being the first student to graduate with a Bachelor of Human Nutrition (first class Honours) from the University of Canberra, as well as solving the prickly issue of turning a common garden pest into something edible. After having one of our ex-students (Matt Frawley) playing for the Bulldogs in the NRL, its now the AFL's turn to show what a Dara boy can do. June 2017 saw the debut of Ivan Soldo (Class of 2013) run out for Richmond against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
