2019 Marist Mothers' & Grandmothers' Afternoon Tea
CHANGE OF VENUE: This event has been relocated to the Junior School Hall (all other details remain the same).
Matthew Hutchison, Headmaster, Marist College Canberra and the Marist College Canberra Foundation warmly invites all past and present Marist mothers, mother-in-laws, grandmothers, aunties, godmothers and any other significant people in our students' lives to join us on Friday 16 August 2019 to help increase awareness and raise funds for the Br Mark May Bursary Fund.
Afternoon Tea Ticket Price:
$60 per person.
All guests must be over 18 years.
No tickets will be issued. Free seating. 10 guests per table.
Our Maitre d' will have an alphabetical guest list at the door.
Ticket includes:
Welcome glass of pink sparkling wine with a Lucky Door raffle ticket.
Afternoon Tea buffet with hot and cold, sweet and savoury delicacies prepared and served by our Year 12 Hospitality students.
Gluten free and vegetarian options will be available on the buffet.
Tea, coffee and juice.
Guest speaker: Liesl O'Meara, Lawyer, current and past Marist Mother and Marist Foundation Board Member
Br Mark May Bursary Fund:
All funds raised from the Mumm French Champagne Raffle go towards the Br Mark May Bursary Fund which offers bursaries to families in need of our help and wishing to send their son/s to experience all that we have to offer here at Marist College Canberra.
Mumm French Champagne Raffle:
Raffle prizes have been donated by Canberra Rex Hotel & Serviced Apartments, Hotel Realm, McGlades Jewellers, Pialligo Estate Glasshouse, The Canberra Distillery, Bloomin' Mad Florist, DJ Rawson, True Love Letters, Tea Garden Co, National Gallery of Australia and more.
Parking:
Please park along Marr Street or surrounding streets and avoid parking in bus zones or pick up zones as our event overlaps with school finishing at 3.10 pm. Please allow sufficient time to secure parking and be seated by 2.00 pm.
Bookings and Cancellations:
Online bookings only.
Due to the popularity of this event, we would recommend that you do not leave your booking until the RSVP date to avoid disappointment. Bookings may close early if all tickets are sold.
Bookings close on Friday 9 August 2019 (or earlier if all tickets are sold prior to this date).
Cancellations must be sent in writing to the Events Organiser at events@mcc.act.edu.au prior to 4.00 pm Friday 9 August 2019.
Refunds will only be issued for written cancellations received by 4.00 pm Friday 9 August 2019.
Cancellations after this date will not be refunded.
If you are unable to attend for any reason, it will be your responsibility to find a suitable replacement and advise the event organiser of the replacement name prior to the event. Alternatively, you must email the event organiser to advise of cancellation. Cancellation refund policy will apply (see above).
