Welcome to the second edition of the Loreto Alumni eNews for 2022 where we talk about our 2023 reunions, the Verity magazine going digital and more.

We begin by extending a big thank you to you, our alumni community for your support, thoughts and prayers following the recent bus accident involving 27 students and 4 staff members. We are very grateful for all of the support our Loreto community has provided during this difficult time. Please continue keep all those recovering in your thoughts and prayers.

2023 Reunions
We look forward to welcoming the Classes of 1973, 1983, 1993, 2003, 2013 and 2021 back for their respective reunions in April 2023.

We request for each year level to organise external venues following your reunion at Loreto. If you are interested in organising this, please contact us at development@loreto.vic.edu.au where we would be more than happy to help you contact your year level. 
Verity Going Digital
We are excited to announce that from 2023, Verity is moving ahead with the times and we will no longer print thousands of paper copies. We are moving to a more environmentally friendly digital publication that will be shared on multiple platforms.

We will be automatically opting past pupils out from printed copies in 2023. However, if you would still like to receive a printed copy, please make sure to notify us below before 2023.

Printed copies will be printed and mailed to those from Classes 1963 and earlier.
Rise Up Scholarship Fund Update
For our 2022 Annual Giving campaign, we established the Rise Up Scholarship Fund, which aims to make a Loreto education accessible for those who may not be able to afford to attend, and to help ensure a diverse community into the future.

The aim of this fund is to raise $500,000 by 2025 that will become a managed investment fund to ensure an ongoing 50% remission scholarship for two or more students each year of their education.

We are now delighted to share that we raised over $129,000.00 in our first campaign this year! We now look forward to growing this fund each year. A special thank you to our past pupils, current families and also to the Catholic Diocese of Ballarat Foundation for their wonderful support.
VCAL Past Pupils' High Tea
We were thrilled to welcome the Past Pupils' Association (PPA) back to the Little Flower Church for High Tea. The VCAL students prepared and served the food and drinks. Our past pupils had the chance to learn about the VCAL program, the changes to the VCAL and VCE program from 2023, and the opportunities these students have to follow their interests and passions.

The connection between past and present students was lovely to see. PPA President, Meg Barry, shared, "Mother Gonzaga Barry would be very proud of how we are teaching our students to turn their hand to anything". A very special day for past and present students!
