Marsden School is delighted to welcome Penny Hogg as our new Business Director, a role in which she oversees the Finance, Health and Safety, IT, Facilities, and Business Development teams. Penny ensures the smooth operation of the school's business functions, supporting staff and students while driving efficiency and strategic initiatives across the organisation.

Penny joined Marsden in September 2025 and brings over 20 years of experience in Finance and Operations across investment banking and funds management. She has led complex projects, business-wide transformations, and regulatory change, consistently delivering innovative solutions.

She holds two degrees: a Bachelor of Consumer Applied Sciences majoring in Human Nutrition from Otago University, and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration majoring in Management from Victoria University of Wellington.

Passionate about problem-solving, Penny also values the role of sport and personal development. A former competitive gymnast, swimmer, and athlete, she believes sport builds resilience and confidence - qualities she brings to her leadership approach.

Outside of Marsden, Penny enjoys spending time with friends and family and remains actively involved in gymnastics as a coach, Senior Advanced Gymnastics Judge, and volunteer Treasurer for Onslow Gymnastics over the past seven years. She also enjoys tackling complex spreadsheets and strategic challenges - her "happy place."

Marsden is thrilled to have Penny on board, bringing her expertise, leadership, and passion to the school community.
