What began as a chilly, overcast Thursday quickly transformed into a day full of colour, energy, and joy for our Preschool and Primary students. The annual Athletics Day brought together the entire Marsden community - students, teachers, parents, and grandparents - for a celebration of teamwork, perseverance, and fun.

Students from Preschool to Year 6 filled the field with excitement as the day began with sprints for Years 2–6, followed by the Year 5 and 6 200m race. After morning tea, rotations kicked off with a range of activities including long jump, high jump, vortex, quoits, and fun relays, while Preschool and Year 1 enjoyed their own Athletics Fun session led by Jess and the Primary teachers.

After lunch, an optional 800m race gave the older students a chance to test their endurance before everyone joined together for spirited House chants. The grand finale - a Colour Run and Water Slide - brought huge smiles as the afternoon sun finally broke through the clouds.
