Year 10 Step Into the World of International Diplomacy
Tuesday, 11 November 2025

Earlier this week, our Year 10 students immersed themselves in a dynamic Model United Nations (Model UN) experience, transforming the classroom into a forum for global debate and collaborative problem-solving.

The workshop introduced students to how international organisations operate, challenging them to consider complex global issues from the perspectives of different nations. Throughout the simulation, students negotiated resolutions, formed alliances, presented arguments, and experienced firsthand the challenges of diplomacy.

Model UN experiences are designed to spark curiosity about global affairs and help young people build confidence in areas such as communication, critical thinking, and leadership. These workshops also connect students to the real work of the United Nations, which encourages initiatives that promote understanding of global cooperation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year's Model UN session gave students the opportunity to debate meaningful issues and explore the role young people can play in shaping a more connected and informed world.
