Primary Speech Competition
Wednesday, 12 November 2025

Students from Years 4–6 showcased their persuasive writing and public speaking skills in this term's Literacy and Inquiry program. After weeks of preparation, each class held its own speech competition, with the top three or four students selected to represent their class in the Primary Speech Competition on Friday 7 November.

Judged by Mrs Wells (Principal) and Ms Richards (Librarian), the event featured an impressive lineup of engaging and well-researched speeches. The standard was incredibly high, with every student delivering an engaging and well-prepared speech.

The Isabella Franks Primary Speech Cup was awarded to Maddie (Year 6) for her thought-provoking speech, "Spending Less Time on Screens Makes Us Happier."

Federika (Year 5) impressed with her energetic delivery of "Why Everyone Should Make Time for Exercise," while Valentine (Year 4) received recognition for her informative speech, "Why We Should All Have an Emergency Kit at Home."

Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and confidence!
