Year 7 Students Celebrate Musical Achievements with Festive Concert
Friday, 14 November 2025

Throughout the year, all Year 7 students have continued to develop their skills as part of the Band Programme in their weekly music classes, learning instruments such as flutes, clarinets, trumpets, trombones, bassoons, and oboes. Twice each term, the full Year 7 cohort comes together as a band for extended lessons with specialist tutors, and students also receive two hours of individual instrumental tuition each term.

On Friday, our Year 7 students showcased their progress at a festive morning concert. Families enjoyed a delightful programme of music, including: March Across the Seas by Bruce Pearson & Ryan Nowlin, The Quest by Gary Fagan, How Far I'll Go from Moana by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a selection of Christmas carols arranged by Marian Campbell.

The concert was followed by a shared morning tea, giving families and students a chance to celebrate the year's musical achievements together.

This programme has offered students an excellent opportunity to grow their musical skills, teamwork, and confidence. Congratulations to all our Year 7 musicians for a fantastic performance!
