Preschool Celebrates a Joyful End to the Year
Friday, 5 December 2025

Preschool marked the end of a memorable year with a series of joyful celebrations filled with connection, creativity and Christmas cheer.

A highlight of the week was a special Mahitahi and Buddy Reading celebration, where Preschool students joined with Year 1 and Year 5 for a time of shared fun and learning. One of the group's favourite shared interests this year has been K-Pop Demon Hunters, and the celebration took a lively turn with a surprise visit from Rumi (Rubi from Rainbow Circus). Students learned dance moves "like a rockstar," poked their tongues out like Rumi's cat Derby, made crowns, and sang and danced together in a wonderfully energetic session enjoyed by all.

Midweek festivities continued with a Christmas-themed dress-up day, along with festive arts and crafts and gelato photo fun on Wednesday. The excitement peaked with a much-anticipated visit from Santa, who brought smiles, laughter and plenty of Christmas magic to Preschool.

To round out the celebrations, Preschool students also took part in the end-of-year service at St Mary's, joining the wider Marsden community in a moment of reflection, gratitude and aroha. It was a beautiful and joy-filled way to celebrate a year of growth, friendships and learning in Preschool.
